Our Purpose
The purpose of this Church is to preach the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to immerse believers, to continue in the doctrines of the Old and New Testaments, to fellowship and to worship the Lord God in Spirit and in Truth.
We believe that the original manuscripts of the Old and New Testaments were verbally inspired by the living God, and were written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Inspiration refers to the original manuscripts, the record of which we contend is the original autographs and not any particular translation or translations of them whatsoever; they are God’s complete and final Word of Truth and are the supreme, final and only infallible authority for doctrine, faith, and conduct. *
(2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21)
* In order to safeguard the integrity of our doctrinal statement and avoid confusion in an era when many unsuitable translations and paraphrases are being produced, the King James Version shall be the practical translation for ministering and teaching. Others may be used for comparison or reference.
We believe in one God, eternally coexistent as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe that each person of the Godhead is separate and distinct with the same attributes of omniscience and omnipresence, and is perfect in holiness and righteousness.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Genesis 1:26; John 1:18)
(Hebrews 1:8; Luke 1:35; 1 Timothy 2:5; John 1:1,14; Matthew 1:21)
(Colossians 1:20-22; Hebrews 9:22; 2 Corinthians 5:21)
(1 Corinthians 15:14-17; Romans 1:4; Ephesians 4:7-10; 1 Timothy2:5)
(John 16:8-11; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; 2 Corinthians 3:6; Ephesians 1:13,14)
(Ephesians 1:17,18;5:18; 1 John 2:20,27)
(Romans 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11,28; Ephesians 4:7-12)
(1 Corinthians 1:22, 13:8; 14:21,22)
We believe that man was created by God in God’s image, as recorded in Genesis, that Adam sinned entirely of his own volition and responsibility, that Adam as the mortal father of the entire human race passed sin and death on and into the whole of humanity, and all are born sinners with a corrupt and sinful nature and are spiritually dead.
(Genesis 1:26; Romans 3:9,23; Psalms 51:5; Romans 5:12)
(John 3:6,7; Ephesians 2:1; 1 Corinthians 12: 12,13)
(John 10:28, Galatians 2:16, Romans 3:24, Ephesians 2:8-10)
We believe that the Church, the Body of Christ dispensational and distinct from Israel, began at Pentecost as recorded in the book of Acts, on which day the Holy Spirit according to the promise of Jesus Christ became for the present age a permanent resident in the bodies of believers, that without the indwelling Holy Spirit none are saved, and the Holy Spirit is the only revealer of God’s truth.
(Ephesians 2:11-18; Galatians 3:16,27; John 16:30; Ephesians 1:22,23).
